Introduction of the work

After 30 plus years of working with inspirational images of the moonlight, artists Kim Hyung Kwon is opening an exhibition based on conception.
Currently as the chairman of representational art association, master painter Kim Hyung Kwon, while pursuing representative art called semi abstract painting, has put his heart and soul into expressing the conceptual rather than the visible. In particular he cherishes his childhood memories of the conceptual emotions that he felt seeing how the moonlight highlighted the pitch black country side's natural landscape and through this conception exhibition he shows how much that emotion has developed.
For example moonlight in the oriental philosophy deals with yin energy and is associated with creation thus it is resonable to see conception(birth-existence of life) as an advanced reiterated form persistent to the same category. The process of expressing this idea emphasizes polymorphism, giving the viewers different visual impressions. However painter Kim Hyung Kwon's reasoning is that contradictory to the polymorphism that viewers feel, it also emphasizes monomorphism.
In other words visually one may feel polymorphismtic but evident in painter Kim's passion in presentation of his mental imagery, the work contains childhood nostalgias and reminiscences as well as classical meanings derived from eastern philosophy's five basic elements and traditional beliefs. Thus painter Kim Hyung-kwon's work enables conveyance of deep emotion of Korea's hometown affections and nostalgias.
